Your information is your information. We only collect what we need, and we only share it with those who need it. We store and maintain this information in line with the Privacy Act.
In most cases, we’re only going to collect information such as your name, date of birth, address, and medical history, for the purposes of health provision.
We may share this information with other health providers, such as the ambulance service, GPs, Emergency Departments, or ACC for the purpose of meeting your ongoing health needs.
You have a right to any information held about you, and the right to correct his information if it is incorrect. Please contact qsp@patrolandrescue.co.nz if this is the case.
regulation & quality of care
Patrol & Rescue uses a combination of medical and technical expertise for your events. The reality is that you can’t have one without the other, and your needs might be more rescue than they are medical, or vice versa.
Our patrollers are there for the technical skills, refined in their experience. They hold current outdoor medical qualifications and are empowered by frameworks allowing them to provide medication to facilitate evacuation, and they provide a keen eye to recognise risks before they become a safety concern.
Our medical providers are registered health practicioners, hold current practicing certificates, and meet the regulations of the Health Practicioners Competency Act. They’re experienced medically, and can hold their own in the backcountry.

Patrol and Rescue provides health services, and therefore all patient care is delivered to a standard in accordance with the Health Consumers Code of Rights.
